The St. Mary Center of Hope’s focus is to provide vocational and Day Habilitation Services to fulfill the needs of individuals with Intellectual Disabilities within St. Mary Parish.
Vocational Services include: Supported Employment, Enclave/Movile Work Crew, and a Pre-Vocational-type training. Such training is provided through recycling, horticulture, janitorial contracts and the Center of Hope Bargain Store, which is located at 609 Main Street in Franklin, LA. Individuals who receive services in any of these programs are considered employees and are compensated at a piece rate wage.
The Day Habilitation Program focuses training on independent living skills, socialization, and personal hygiene. Training is individualized and is determined through the individual’s circle of support.
The Center of Hope also provides transportation to and from our training facility at 100 Missouri Street in Centerville, as well as to the job-sites.
